What we do
The SCA was formed in 2002 by the sector to answer a need for support, development and advocacy for archive and records management services in Scotland. We will continually strive to promote excellence and encourage professional development and innovation within the sector.
Having appraised the many challenges facing the sector today we recognise that Scotland's archives need legislation, investment, and joined-up policy which will facilitate change at the top level. But we are also dedicated to delivering tangible results on the ground through provision of grant funding, providing advocacy at a local and national level, and coordinating a wider publicity and marketing campaign.
To achieve our aims, we need to communicate closely with the sector and invite those working in archive and records management services to comment and debate on our forum and get in touch with us, as we will be in touch with you as part of our promotional activities.
